Opportunity Village prepares to Reopen Campuses
Opportunity Village Family,
We are pleased to begin the process of welcoming participants back to our campus locations. While this is not a full re-open, and changes discussed here will be temporary, we have been authorized to begin with 25% capacity. We have been working hard to adjust to our “new normal” while keeping health, safety, and meaningful programming a top priority.
In an effort to serve as many families and people with disabilities as possible we are temporarily adjusting our program structure. Daily schedules will look different for a while; this is because we take your health and well-being very seriously. These changes help make sure our group sizes are smaller, that spaces can accommodate social distancing while we are still required to adhere to those CDC recommendations, and gives us ample time to thoroughly sanitize between programs.
We are still in the midst of a health crisis. The Governor is still recommending some people continue to shelter in place. There are restrictions on group sizes and cleaning protocols. And, we are all wearing masks. While our world is changing, there are also a number of people who need service and that need increases as each day passes. This is a way we can begin the process of returning to an almost-normal schedule.
Here is what we expect program schedules will look like:
- Day Habilitation services, such as PRIDE and Enable, will operate from 7a-1p.
- Employment Training services, such as the ERC, will operate from 1:30p-7p.
Remember, you always have a choice. In fact, your choices are very important to us and we will do everything possible to serve you. We promise to work with each family individually to provide in-home services, telephonic supports, campus programs or any combination of services deemed appropriate to meet your needs. Depending on the demand for services, you may switch the program you attend to have access to the hours needed for your family.
If you are ready to talk about coming back on a temporarily modified schedule, there is a form for you to fill out below as well as a link to our new health and safety protocols. The OV team will reach out in the order the forms are received. If you have any questions, call Ashlee in Family Engagement, (702) 262-1514. If you are not quite ready to return, we completely understand and are here to welcome you back, with open arms, whenever you are.
